CHILDREN'S YOGA

Yoga includes poses to increase strength, flexibility, and coordination and body awareness while working on children’s concentration and sense of calmness. Classes are intended to be fun and may include age-appropriate games, animal sounds and creative names for poses.

 

DANCE / MOVEMENT

Dancing is a fantastic outlet for children of all ages. It increases coordination, muscle tone, and helps one’s mood. With plenty of research and experience to back it up, dancing for children is a terrific choice for your toddler's health and well-being. Moving to music supports children’s physical and emotional development, engages children in socialization activities, and encourages children's inner creativity. Dance increases children's self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-motivation.

 

MUSIC

Music is important in the early years, as it affects children’s intelligence and emotions, and helps them develop their skills, including:

Early language development                                                An increased ability to learn foreign languages.

Improved mood and emotional regulation                            Physical endurance

Patience and discipline                                                        Gross and fine motor skills

Ability to recognize small differences between sounds (auditory discrimination)

Cooperation and cross-cultural awareness                          Improved memory and concentration

Self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-expression

 

MARTIAL ARTS

Martial arts are a great opportunity for kids to build positive self-esteem and find community. It teaches children about self-discipline while supporting their growing confidence. It provides children the opportunity to engage in social interactions and teamwork focused activities while developing their balance, posture, coordination, and motor skills.

 

EARLY LITERACY PROGRAMS

Early literacy (reading and writing) does not mean early reading instruction or teaching babies to read; it is the natural development of skills through the enjoyment of books, the importance of positive interactions between babies and parents, and the critical role of literacy- rich experiences.  Reading books, reciting poems, and supports children’s learning and development. This is done by creating activities for children in the areas of reading, singing, playing, talking, and writing.

We will focus on all 6 skills of early literacy:
